A beautifully restored set of four Ercol Model 391 dining chairs, commonly known as the "All Purpose Chair." Designed by Lucian Ercolani, this iconic design has become one of Ercol's most recognisable and enduring pieces.
Dating from the 1960s and carrying the desirable blue labels, these chairs feature solid elm seats and backrests paired with beech legs and spindles. The elegant design incorporates three turned central back spindles, splayed legs, a gently curved seat, and a shaped backrest for comfort and support. Lower stretcher rails provide additional strength and stability, while faded Ercol stamps remain visible on the backs of some chairs.

Restored condition. These chairs have been completely restored, stripped back to bare wood, carefully sanded, and refinished with several coats of protective finish. One chair is missing its original rubber foot covers. Otherwise, the set presents beautifully and is ready for everyday use.
